Jessica McAllister
Meet Jess McAllister.
Jessica McAllister is a rising junior on the TCU Equestrian team, focusing on horsemanship & reigning. Jessica is from Southbury, CT and has been riding horses basically her whole life as a fifth generation on her family’s farm. IN her time at TCU, she has been named Big 12 Co-Horsemanship Rider of the Month for March, Big 12 Co-Horsemanship Rider of the Year, and a Second Team All-American.
She chose to complete her last three years of HS online in order to be on the travel circuit with her team. Jessica loves Texas, but her favorite place to ride is Scottsdale, AZ, preferably in March. However, her least favorite would have to be Columbus, OH thanks to a rough show.
Jessica is a self-described foodie and loves sushi/Japanese and Mexican restaurants. She also loves to cook & bake. She loves home-cooked recipes that are not too crazy & she primarily bakes birthday cakes for others. Pioneer Woman is one of her favorites when it comes to the culinary world.
Jessica is a natural leader with her calm & collected personality. She has assumed responsibilities on her team but also supports her teammates as best as she can. Jessica & her family love animals, specifically dogs & horses. She would even describe herself as a "crazy dog lady."
Jessica loved her Intro to Kinesiology class because it was engaging & hands on. This helped lead her to the decision to focus on the business minded side of science. She will be staying at TCU an extra year to get a Masters in Data Analytics & hopes to pursue a career in pharmacy sales or hospital management. Outside of the equestrian team, Jessica has many passions. She loves to read, hike, travel, and play sand volleyball. She is also passionate about community service, and hopes to set up a booth for the dog days at the botanical gardens someday.
